post apocolyptic?

I guess though I haven't put my finger on it, this story is definitely post apocolyptic.

After reading the "City of Ember" series (quite taken by it), I used the world after the Disaster to give me an idea and a story. I like to write little storied to get these things out of my system, and this one revolving around the main characters to give me a basis for this story. The idea that because of having something unique, magic or whatever you call it for Komo and Ashta, or intelligence and foresight like Lina and Doon, you would actually be at risk to those who would like to take advantage of those skills. Perhaps Komo will run off in the name of keeping Ashta safe and uninvolved. Maybe Ashta will do the same. Just an idea.
